Fun fabric + bright colors make a trio of AG dolls into Diva's

Top (center) was made from LibertyJane pattern. Tops and pants were made using patterns from a book titled "Love to Dress Up" / 18" Doll Clothes by Lorine Mason.

About Me

Sosewsuzi: My name is Suzi. I created this blog to document my new found interest in American Girl Dolls and doll clothing. Two of my Granddaughters usually visit me for a week in August. I took them to the local American Girl store (Overland Park location) and got them dolls. I love the dolls...but the dolls and clothing can put a strain on most everyones budget. So I decided to dust off my sewing machines and sergers and make most of their doll clothes. After making a couple of outfits I realized I was hooked and have been making doll clothes non-stop. I was showing my hubby Richard some of the clothes I made. He asked me "How do you know they will fit"? It was a good question because I didn't own an American Girl doll. I was just assuming that an 18 inch pattern would fit. So.....I bought myself a doll and her name is Kiki and a month later I bought Almut. I plan on posting some of my projects....this is more of a blog for me and I am really not sure if anyone will be interested, however, if you should stumble across this blog I hope you find it interesting and somewhat inspiring.
