Time to sew...

Using the Mini skirt pattern and the T-shirt pattern from http://libertyjanepatterns.com/ I was able to whip this outfit up in no time. Cute denim skirt with double stitching details and working pockets. The lavender knit top velcros close in the back.
I found a free pattern for this dress at http://www.oliverands.com/blog/, It's called the "Pop Over Dress". Easy to make. I shortened it to make a mini dress version
Sooo....trendy
These two outfits were a joy to make. All the patterns I used to make them can be purchased at libertyjanepatterns.com. The Slouch jacket was made from a recycled Chico's T - shirt. The leggings, teal tank top and shrug were made from T-shirts from Kohl's.
A little spring thing
The pattern for this dress can be purchased at libertyjanepatterns.com. It is the Heritage Wrap Top Dress pattern and cost $3.99. I totally LOVE their patterns and the designers on this website.
Sleep Tight
The dolls needed something to sleep in. I used a pattern from "All Dolled Up" by Joan Hinds. The book includes a lot of cute patterns and a CD. I think my Granddaughters will love them and I plan on making matching ones for them.
Bathwraps etc
I made these bathwraps for the girls. Added a friend to hang out with Kiki. Her name is Almut. While I was shopping at Target just before Easter, I found these pretty hand towels and I thought they would be perfect for this project. It was also cost effective. The towels came in a set of 3. The bath and head wraps ended up costing $1.50 per outfit. I didn't use any pattern for these just figured out how to make them by looking at other sets on the web.
One of the first outfits I made
I started simple and made the multi-colored striped top. The pattern is included in a book I bought, "Love to Dress UP" 18 inch Doll Clothes by Lorine Mason. I surfed the web for anything American Girl related searching for more patterns. The skinny leg jeans that Kiki is wearing is from a pattern I purchased from Libertyjane patterns. If you're in to making AG doll clothes you really need to check out the Liberty Jane patterns. http://libertyjanepatterns.com/
